This Crystal Glass Pitcher is in our Milano Crystal Glassware collection which features a cobalt blue line swirl pattern on the glass. This pitcher is then all hand-painted with red and blue paint and topped off with real 24k gold painted accents giving it a unique stained glass appearance. This particular collection is without a doubt one of our most popular. It is hand blown glass manufactured with the finest lead free crystal glass and imported from Romania.

The Milano Collection, our bestseller, provokes the mind and stimulates the eyes with its unpredictable swirl design, and "stained glass" like finish. To apply the intricate cobalt glass pattern, one craftsman rotates the blob of glass on its axis while another dabs a rod into molten cobalt and spins a thin strand of the material onto the lower portion of the piece. The piece is then blown to the proper thickness and shape by mouth. After it is cooled, another craftsman paints the vivid colors within the pattern using 3 different colored luster, red, blue, yellow and 24k gold accents. The piece is then fired one more time to ensure that the color will last a long, long time. This creative process is time consuming and very demanding. All this to produce a unique work of art for your pleasure. Because of the hand decorated process, no 2 glasses have exactly the same pattern. The glassware we offer is 100% lead free crystal. Each piece of mouth-blown and hand-decorated crystal is produced individually in the European country of Romania, in the old tradition of blowing glass. Crystal is a popular term for colorless 24% lead glass that has a high refractive index and consequently is particularly brilliant. Today, the word is often used to describe any fine glass tableware, even if it does not contain lead, as is the case here. Lead crystal has the transparency and brilliance to allow wine to show its best colors.

This unique glassware and stemware is meticulously crafted at the Cristiro factory in Bistrita, BN, Transylvania, Romania, and then directly imported to the U.S. Glass blowing is the art of creating an object from molten glass by blowing air into it utilizing a tube. The glass in the oven takes days to melt so the ovens are never turned off. The artisan collects the molten glass onto the tip of his blow rod, being careful to accumulate just the right amount for the piece to be blown. After the glass is cooled, other craftsman add the elements required for each design. One last firing ensures that the color will last for a very long time. Each piece is mouth-blown and hand engraved.
